Together We Can Reduce the Stress of Parenting
If you’re at the end of your rope, overwhelmed or out of ideas, I can help.
Some children are easier to parent than others. But even then the job is rarely simple. I can serve as your supportive adviser. My goal is to help parents employ positive behavior management strategies to improve family life. That means:
- Spending more time enjoying your child(ren) and less time fussing
- Learning and testing new ideas to see what works for your family
- Praising your child(ren) as they make progress
- Having a system to create the home environment you desire
How Do We Work Towards Happier Family Life?
Ultimately it’s up to parents to consistently implement behavior plans.
My role as the consultant is to evaluate the root cause of problem behaviors, supply positive intervention plans, and coach parents through the tough part—making the change.
Together we can solve behavior problems such as:
- Aggressive behaviors
- Routines (mealtime, bedtime, morning, etc.)
- “Selective” hearing
- Social skills
- Toilet training
Can You Trust that I Know How To Help?
In 15 years as a special education teacher, I worked with hundreds of children.
What I learned is every child is uniquely motivated and employs different behaviors to meet a variety of needs. By focusing on what motivates your child or children, we can unlock their willingness and capacity to cooperate and learn—and make sure everyone’s needs are met. (Including yours!)
It sounds simple. But as a parent dealing with the minute-to-minute stress of managing family life, it can be difficult to recognize the motivations at play. (I know because I’m a parent, too.)
As a trained and objective observer, I can ask the right questions and monitor the big picture, while guiding you on a step-by-step process to discover what works. You’ll be surprised how quickly we can improve the situation.

What’s the First Step?
In order to prioritize my own family life, I work one-on-one with a very limited number of clients.
Depending on whether you’re located in my hometown of Athens, GA, or elsewhere, the consulting process is slightly different.
